Concert by the Galeazzi Ensemble from London

Classical Music Concert  at  TLC   -    Saturday 14 October 2017

@ St. Barnabas Church Hall, Lodge Road, Southampton  SO14 6QS
(opposite Kwik Fit)

The Galeazzi Ensemble was formed in 1995 in order to explore Classical &

Early Romantic chamber music using instruments of the period.

As well as performing works from the standard repertoire, it aims to
introduce many neglected works to today’s audiences.

The group takes its name from the composer and theorist
Francesco Galeazzi (1758-1818)

Better known today for his theoretical writings, Galeazzi’s most influential
work was a two-volumed treatise entitled ‘Element teorico-practici
di musici’ (1791-6)

This will be a stunning concert for flute & strings by Mozart, Haydn, Schubert, Eler & Krommer by the Galeazzi Ensemble with Lesley Holliday on flute, Richard Wade on violin, Virginie Guiffray on Viola and our very own Gareth Deats on cello.

Put the date in your calendars and please click & share the Facebook event here with your friends and family as it promises to be a wonderful evening.
