We launched our new Thursday Salsa format last week (28th Sept), with new 6-week courses for Levels 1 & 2 and a return of Marcus’s Advanced on2 class (Level 6). We have also introduced a Dance Development Class for Levels 4 & 5, which will cover all sorts of extras – Body movement, Footwork, Cha Cha, Musicality, Spin technique and kicked off last week with an Introduction to on2 with Debbie. This class (and Level 6 on2) follows the normal turn patterns classes for Levels 4 & 5.

It was a fantastic night and the Beginners’ course was sold out – we had to turn people away (well, get them to sign up for the next course!) As the first lesson of the new Level 2 course, Gareth gave a musicality class, pointing out clues in the music which help ‘find the 1’ and maintain the timing of salsa steps. This class will happen once every 6 weeks if anyone from other levels feels they would like some help in that area.

All that was followed by a cracking social with some great tracks from DJ Steve.
