What a fantastically fantastic night at the Fantasy TLC Caliente! I can’t thank you all enough for your efforts in costume, energy and for making the place buzz all night – it was LEGEND! Trevor Sweetlead Layne (aka Blade) and Heidi Ford (aka Dorothy with red shoes) took an AWESOME class. It was tough for them to choose the winners of the competition as we had Burlesque to Wizards and everything inbetween, but the winners were: beautiful Mermaids Amanda Rayner, and Debbie Taylor, Fraser McCandlish and his friend Gavin as Star Trek’s Lieutenant Geordi la Forge and Captain Jean Luc Picard respectively, Bryan Tanner as an ‘Elf & Safety’ Elf, Craig Paul Eldridge trying out his Snow White costume before his panto appearance (oh yes he was!), and Hannah Swanborough (Hannah Lewis) as Neytiri in Avatar! The group prize was won by Dean Massey, Kevin Doel and Dave Le Cake who came as Pilots from the 1970’s TV series ‘Fantasy Island’ – the hand-made plane even had propellers! Such as awesome effort everyone! Finally I must also thank DJ Marcus Grooves who played a wicked set and also the clean up crew at the end who worked so hard with me until 1.30am to leave the studio clean and tidy … as if the fairies had been! (Amy Large, Hannah, Kimberley Chandler, Roger, Anna Warnke and Gareth Deats. Thank you all for a ‘Once upon a lifetime’ legendary event – and we all went home happily ever after. The End
